Terrigal Beach

Getting here

The Central Coast is easily accessible via the M1 Sydney to Newcastle Freeway.

To get to Terrigal take the Gosford/Woy Woy/Terrigal (Central Coast highway) exit. From Sydney its approximately 60 to 90 minutes by car and 60 minutes from Newcastle. Trains also operate from Sydney to Gosford or Newcastle to Gosford with services departing approximately every 30 minutes.

One of the best-known beaches on the Central Coast, Terrigal Beach is a cosmopolitan seaside town, is popular with locals & visitors.

The beach is patrolled every day from October long weekend until the end of the April school holiday break. Picnic areas include grassed and under cover picnic tables are available. Barbecue facilities are at Terrigal Haven – electric barbecues at no charge. Parking at public beachside car park and street side parking.

This town is also lively and energetic. People are out from sunrise running, walking, kayaking, swimming, fishing. If you would like a beach that has a vibrant atmosphere but is more relaxed than Sydney, Terrigal is a great spot.

Broken Head is a nice part of town. There is a calm beach and the iconic landmark -The Skillion. The waves here are generally small which is ideal for children. It’s protected from the big swell by Broken Head. There is also a small rock pool for toddlers.
