Bellbird is a  modern, architect designed river weekender, discreetly nestled in to the riverside bush landscape

The open plan living /entertaining area is light filled, opening to decks to both the front & to the rear

All 3  bedrooms  are  cleverly staggered,  creating a  window corner view towards  the water from  each room.  The master bedroom is connected the main living space, while the second & third bedrooms are on separate levels & reached by an external  undercover breezeway that steps up from the  rear deck

The master bedroom offers both an  ensuite & private balcony. A second queen bedroom also features an ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom  with a king bed has access to the main bathroom located on the undercover breezeway

There is air conditioning & ceiling fans in the living space & in all 3  bedrooms. All bedrooms are carpeted

  • food & beverage – there are no shops. We recommend planning a menu & shop list to avoid bringing the kitchen sink!!!

Kangaroo Point, Brooklyn – just next to M1 Freeway is the recommended wharf to meet the water taxi.
Travel time from Sydney is approx. one hour except in peak travel periods. Distance is approx 50km from harbour bridge. The Sydney to Central Coast trains have scheduled stops at Hawkesbury River Station in ‘downtown’ Brooklyn – Water Taxi can also be booked from Hawkesbury River Marina approx 100m from the train station

CHILDREN 12 years or more –  welcome by prior arrangement ; not suited to young
PETS  – not suited
HIRE BOATS & OWN BOAT  max 6m – by prior arrangement
FIREWOOD  –  we provide kindling, guests BYO easy carry bags of wood for outdoor firepit. Wood available at most service stations & at Berowra Waters Marina if hiring a boat from there .
GARBAGE  – there is no garbage service on the river,   so guests  are requested to take their garbage back to the mainland bins as the locals do.
DEPARTURE – there is no cleaning fee so we do ask guests to leave Bellbird neat & tidy as you found her

RATES – are tailored to offer the most competitive price for the season, length of stay and number of guests.
DEALS – are often available, especially on a three night weekend stay, Mon-Thur stays and six night stays arriving Friday or Monday

  • if you have your own trailer boat or if we should send some boat options to you
  • any other relevant info such as number of rooms/beds required
BOOKING TERMS FOR PAYMENT – when booking direct w us, are that payment is ONLY by  direct bank to bank transfer, of the full amount at time of making a booking . We send payment  & bond details to you & you then have a 24 hour hold, allowing time to deposit funds & return agreement along w receipt of funds transfer. NOTE the security bond is a ‘sign off ‘ document with  credit card  details submitted in the agreement

If you plan to arrive by own trailer boat up to 6m with an engine capacity greater than 30hp, there are many more areas in the Hawkesbury River network for you to explore.

From Bar Point you can travel down stream to Dangar Island , Brooklyn, and into Cowan Waters  where Cottage Point, Bobbin Head , Refuge Bay & Jerusalem Bay are located
